We went here to see the Milky Way, and it was amazing. We initially booked a specific camping pad for watching the stars, but one of the volunteers was very helpful and offered to move us to another area he recommended.
We absolutely loved camping here last year in November. We are actually planning on our marriage here next year. Who wouldn't with beautiful scenery and wild life that could pop out during the ceremony.
Seriously one of my favorite places in this state to camp!! They take their night skies very seriously, and do everything they can to preserve it, including enforcing a red light only policy at certain sites!
Very, very windy - Nice dark skies for star viewing
We didn't use the showers, but everyone else said they were very nice. The bathrooms were very clean. All of the staff was very friendly.
This place is so far from light pollution! So dark and amazing. Definitely recommend visiting here for anyone who likes stargazing. There are plenty of animals out and about as well. A small family of bunnies lives right next to the astronomy pad and are absolutely adorable!
Being in the middle of nowhere was amazing. We will be back here to camp again.
