Said it would cost $3,200 (seriously), ($1500 for unit + $1600 in labor, 4 hour install time= $400 per hour) and then I asked, what if I get the unit, since I can find it so much cheaper. He said he would simply make up the difference in price, with the labor. Also he said it would take several days longer to do it.
We took our fifth wheel in to have work done on it through our extended warranty. A week later we were still without our home. I called the warranty company and Florida outdoors had not even contacted them to start the process. I started the claim myself. Then it was just one thing after another and excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't completed. 13 days later I got my rig back without all the repairs being completed. They attempted to come out to the park I was wintering in to finish repairs, but again they kept bringing the wrong parts. In the end the repair man left me with a mutilated ceiling in the latrine where they installed a new exaust fan, screws missing, parts not installed, and other parts that were still on order were mailed to me in my home state of Montana. Some of the work they did complete has failed and I just found out that they charged my warranty company for labor and parts that were not installed. They were paid in full for work that was not even done to the rig and I still have the parts in my storage compartment uninstalled. I live in my rig full time so you can only imagine the aggravation and stress this has, and is, still causing us. They were very friendly, always called me back when I called, but the mechanical service itself was unsatisfactory for us. Maybe we were just part of a string of unfortunate events, but it made my experience with them very poor. I hope that anyone else that goes there has a better experience then we did. I can not, and will not recommend them to anyone at this point in time.
Total rip off. Customers be aware. Labor cost is $129.95 PER hour. I brought my awning to be repaired and brought the new fabric already. All they had to do was change it and replace a spring at the end. 3.5 hours of labor was charged . Almost $600 for a simple repair. No signs anywhere of labor cost. Feeling robed :(
What better place to lay out the floor plan of what you want in an rv or camper. They will show you all types and explain all makes. What a great place to come when you want service and no hassle.
Went in to get a Winegard Traveler installed, I called around to several RV stores around Florida and pretty much got the same response, right around $1,900 and that included hooking up all 3 boxes, in and out in 1 day.
After hurricane I went in to ask questions about my camper flashing lights and letters on frig, being a woman, the man I talked to was more interested in arguing about my battery charger i was using and how it worked and if I can't just wait for my husband to get home to check it, then answering my questions about the issue with my camper, that My husband ask me to fix before he came home from a 16 hr day fixing their electric. Felt like he was attacking me about what I knew instead of what info I needed. The girls in there have always been very nice but a couple of the men are definitely not.
I could go on about his attitude, but I won't even get into it, needless to say, they won't be getting my business, good word, or a dime of money again!! Crooks!
I went to these guys to ask if they would do it since I am more local here, figured they might have good prices.
